Note the layers of different water sources and see how "shallow" the Chesapeake Bay is relative to those deep running aquifers? Note also, the separation between the Aquia Aquifer and the Magothy Aquifer. And the slope of both aquifers as they flow from northwest to southeast, under the Bay. The Magothy Aquifer is some 550 feet below sea level at Deale, MD.
That means that NEARLY EVERY home in Anne Arundel County, Maryland has at least two underground water sources beneath them - including your home.
